  1. Great list!!! 🙂 You’ll have to share your recipe for the Kenyan dish you have displayed… looks delicious. Are you originally from there?

    ~Bekah @PrincessPartyGirl.blogspot.com

    • Hello Rebecca, Thank you for stopping by …Yes I am Originally from Kenya, lived in Kenya for 19 years.
      I will share the recipe!

  2. Hello Nancy

Thanks for visiting my blog. What a wonderful list you have. I’m also curious about the dish you have up there. I’m from the Caribbean and it looks a lot like a dish we have here too. It is so good to thank God for His blessings. I find if I keep focusing on the gifts its easier to not focus on the trials. Nice to meet you.

    God bless!

    • Lisa, Thank you for stopping by & nice to meet you too. Its a kenya dish (the stew is duck and the bread is called chapati) Its fried bread? just fry it in an open skillet.. The duck has coconut milk and some Kenyan spices/ curry powder and cilantro.. does it sound the same- do you cook with lots of coconut milk in the caribean? I know we have many dishes that overlap.

  3. I am thankful for you!

  4. We are all so very blessed! Love Niagara Falls! It is a beautiful creation!
    Many Blessings

  7. Hi Nancy:

I’m so glad you joined in 30 Days of Thanksgiving. I really enjoyed reading your blessings…truly you have a wonderful heritage. I noticed you are originally from Kenya. Each year our church sends a group on a short term mission trip to Mombassa. In the past it has been only men, but they want to open it up for women to go in the future. It is my prayer that, God willing, I will be able to go there someday.

    Many blessings,

    • Joan,
Nice meeting you ~ That would be great! Those women need real life encouragement and they will be blessed so much when your church women go over there. They will love it too.. the simplicity of life makes you even be thankful for more things I have tended to take for granted since living here. I will pray all works and email me if you are going and need nay help.

  8. How wonderful to meet you, Nancy! Thanks for stopping by my blog so that I could, in turn, stop by yours. How wonderful to have dual citizenships and such a rich cultural background! And how even more wonderful that you have a heritage of family members who love the Lord. What a blessing! Your family is beautiful!
